Technofour is not all about large automated Eddy Current Test systems. Several portable instruments are available for various applications.

The latest member to this club is Eddy Current Tester series SD-PC.  This is a slim black-box instrument connected to a notebook computer, and is offered in three versions.

 

Conductivity Meter Type 979 is used for measurement of electrical conductivity of non-ferrous metals in % IACS to within 1% accuracy. This digital readout instrument supercedes the old analog workhorse Type 757. Several hundred of which are still in active service.

A wide range of probes are available for use with SD-PC or Insis-EX instruments.  These include motorized rotating probes for bolt-hole inspection etc.
